Toffee Bars
🔥 Classic Toffee Bars (Chewy + Buttery)

Bake: 20–25 minutes
🧈 Ingredients
Crust (shortbread base):
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 large egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon kosher salt
Toffee Topping:
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup Toffee bites crumble
Optional: 1 cup chopped pecans, walnuts, or toasted almonds
👩🏻🍳 Directions
1️⃣ Make the Crust
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13 pan with parchment.
Cream together butter + brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg yolk + vanilla.
Add flour + salt and mix until a soft dough forms.
Press evenly into the pan.
Bake 12–15 minutes, just until lightly golden around the edges.
2️⃣ Top Layer
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and return to the oven for additional minute.
Remove from the oven and use an offe=set spatula to spread the chocolate evenly over the top of the bars
Sprinkle the toffee bites
Sprinkle the chopped pecans, walnuts, or toasted almonds (your choice)
4️⃣ Cool + Slice
Let cool completely so the chocolate sets — pop into the fridge if you're impatient.
Cut into bars or squares.

Store airtight comtainer. You can freeze them three months
